Imagine you walk into a hospital and the head doctor says, “Don’t take medical advice from me.”
That’s basically where we are right now.
In 2025, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — anti-vaxxer, conspiracy peddler, and former heroin addict — is now the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Let that sit for a second. The man in charge of the country’s health policy is best known for pushing vaccine lies, quoting fake science, and saying “People shouldn’t be taking medical advice from me.” But here we are.
So seriously… who the hell put him in charge?
Let’s start with the basics: RFK Jr. has zero background in medicine or public health. His career was built as an environmental lawyer — with a side hustle in spreading misinformation. You might know him from his anti-vaccine nonprofit, his rants about Wi-Fi giving cancer, or the time he said antidepressants cause school shootings. Spoiler: they don’t.
Also: he was addicted to heroin for 14 years, got arrested in college, and had to be dragged through court-ordered rehab. Now—credit where due—he got clean. But “former heroin user” is rarely a qualification for running one of the biggest federal agencies.
And yet… he’s the one running the Department of Health and Human Services. Why? Because he was hand-picked by President Trump and confirmed by the Senate in a 52-48 vote. So no, you didn’t vote for this man — but 52 people in suits did. And now he’s in charge of things like vaccine distribution, Medicare policy, and food safety.
If RFK Jr. were just unqualified, that’d be bad enough. But he’s also actively dangerous. Here’s just a taste of the conspiracy soup he’s been serving for years:
• Vaccines cause autism — They don’t. Science said so a thousand times.
• COVID vaccines are the “deadliest ever made” — Except they’re not. They saved millions.
• HIV might not cause AIDS — It does.
• SSRIs cause mass shootings — There’s no proof. Just vibes.
• Fluoride is a mind-control chemical — Okay, Alex Jones.
• People are being mass poisoned by the government — He says this with a straight face.
And this is the guy who now oversees the CDC, FDA, NIH, and every other health agency. Do you see the problem?
Kennedy didn’t just show up, hang a nameplate, and pose for pictures. Nah, he went full demolition man. Within WEEKS:
• He fired 10,000 people from HHS. Just… gone.
• He nuked a bunch of long-standing agencies and merged them into one big Frankenstein department called “The Administration for a Healthy America.”
• He helped draft a federal budget that cut HHS funding by over $30 billion, slashing money from the CDC and NIH like it was a clearance sale.
His justification? America’s health has gotten worse as HHS got bigger — so clearly HHS is the problem.
(Using that logic, I guess firefighters cause fires.)
Former HHS officials called it “traumatic.” Public health experts called it “dangerous.” Even members of Congress were like, “Dude, what the hell are you doing?”
Once Kennedy had his foot in the door, he kicked the whole thing down. Check out what he’s done since taking office:
• Axed COVID vaccine guidance for kids and pregnant women — and did it via Twitter. No CDC input. No medical panel. Just vibes and a selfie video.
• Released a “Make America Healthy Again” report with fake science. We’re talking about citations that didn’t exist.
• Launched “Operation Stork Speed” to test baby formula for heavy metals. (Okay, this one wasn’t awful — but it was the exception, not the rule.)
• Proposed banning sugary drinks from SNAP. Spent a whole day ranting about cooking fries in beef tallow like it was the cure to cancer.
• Applauded states banning fluoride in water. Yes, fluoride. The thing that prevents cavities.
Meanwhile, the measles is back, and two kids are dead. But sure, let’s fight the war on soda.
And if all that wasn’t wild enough, here’s the moment that really cemented the absurdity:
During a congressional hearing, when asked if he’d vaccinate his own kid for measles, RFK Jr. said — and I quote —
“I don’t think people should be taking medical advice from me.”
You’re the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
SIR. THAT IS YOUR JOB.
Even the lawmakers couldn’t believe it. One replied, “That kind of is your jurisdiction.”
And still, this man sat there like he hadn’t just said the quiet part out loud.
So… What’s the Plan Here?
It’s simple. Kennedy’s approach to health policy boils down to this:
Fire the scientists, ignore the doctors, trust your gut, eat raw milk, ban vaccines, and pray for the best.
But here’s what’s really at stake:
• Public health infrastructure is crumbling.
• Vaccine trust is falling.
• Real science is being replaced by fringe garbage.
• Kids are dying from preventable diseases.
• Federal research is being gutted.
All because a man who admits he’s unqualified now holds one of the most powerful health positions in the world.
You didn’t vote for RFK Jr.
You didn’t ask for a man who thinks Wi-Fi causes cancer to lead the country’s health department.
But a handful of Senators — and one Trump endorsement — gave him the keys to the whole damn building.
Now we all have to live with the consequences.
